LAHORE, JAN 18 (DNA) — A tragic incident took place in Lahore’s Nishtar police station area where a 22-year-old girl was allegedly hacked to death with a sharp instrument.
The girl, identified as Sahibzadi, was killed and her body was dumped in the fields of the Ashiana Housing Scheme by unknown persons. The police shifted the body to the morgue after necessary forensics and started further investigation.
Sahibzadi was married and her husband’s name was Naeem. Lahore CCPO Fayyaz Ahmed Deo took notice of the incident and sought a report from SP Model Town. The CCPO also directed immediate arrest of the accused involved in the incident.
A Lahore police spokesman said that according to the woman’s brother, the victim’s husband had beaten his sister to death. Husband Naeem has been interrogated on the statement of the victim’s brother.
SP Model Town said that further investigation has been underway in the light of the evidence and facts and the accused will be arrested soon. =DNA
