The Iranian Judiciary Media Center announced: 9 members of the ISIS Takfiri-terrorist group who planned to carry out terrorist operations against the people in Iran in 2017 were hanged after being arrested and following legal procedures and judicial proceedings.
On February 27, 2017, the commander of the IRGC Ground Forces announced the destruction of an ISIS terrorist team in the western region of the country.
According to Brig. General Pakpour, ISIS intended to send its elements into Iran and carry out several terrorist operations against the people in the border and central cities of the country, which would be included in the intelligence and security tour of the Warriors of Islam.
