HANGU: A blast ripped through a mosque in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Hangu, officials confirmed Friday, leaving 4 dead and five injured as a rescue operation was underway.
The incident took place within the parameters of Police Station Doaba during the Friday prayers sermon — a time when scores of believers are gathered at a mosque for their weekly prayer. According to eye witnesses there were around 40 people offering prayers in the mosque. the tally of the dead is likely to increase, the eye witnesses feared.
