RAMALLAH /DNA/ – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemns the Israeli Knesset’s adoption by a large majority of a resolution to reject what it called unilateral recognition of the Palestinian state, and considers it an official Israeli attempt to challenge the international community by rejecting the Palestinian state and being hostile to peace, and an Israeli insistence on kidnapping the rights of our people by the occupying force and keeping the Palestinian state hostage in the hands of the occupation and its racist colonial interests.
The Ministry reaffirms that the full membership of the State of Palestine in the United Nations and its recognition by states does not require permission from Netanyahu, and demands that it be imposed on the Israeli government with the force of international law to protect the two-state solution and to ensure the success of any future negotiations.
