Earlier on April 9, a local court in Karachi rejected Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) plea against Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) senior leader Rana Sanaullah for allegedly threatening the party founder. The court heard the petition of Zahoor Mahsood, the President of PTI Lawyers Forum Sindh.

Police informed the court that the petitioner had been asked to come to the police station to record his statement over the phone, but Zahoor Mehsood did not come to record his statement. It was stated in the petition that on March 25, threats to “assassinate” the PTI were seen on social media.
