ISLAMABAD, Aug 05 (DNA):Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Monday condemned India's "illegal and unilateral" actions in Jammu and Kashmir on Youm-e-Istehsal reaffirming Pakistan's unwavering support for the Kashmiri people's freedom struggle.
Naqvi labeled August 5 as the “darkest day” in Kashmir’s history, marking the fifth anniversary of India’s revocation of Article 370 and 35(A). He denounced the move as a “crime against humanity” aimed at erasing the Kashmiri identity.
The minister praised the resilience of the Kashmiri people, highlighting the ongoing extrajudicial killings, arrests of leaders, and the region’s transformation into the “world’s biggest prison.” He urged the international community to address the crisis and support the Kashmir cause.
Naqvi assured that Pakistan would continue to stand with the Kashmiri people, offering moral, political, and diplomatic support. He expressed hope for their eventual freedom, condemning India’s actions as violations of human rights and international law.
