ISLAMABAD, AUG 17 (APP): At least three workers died on the spot, while another one sustained injuries when the roof of a factory collapsed due to rain in Faisalabad on early Saturday morning.
According to rescue officials, the roof of a room inside the factory collapsed due to rain in the Faisalabad area. As a result, three workers were killed and one was injured, the PTV news channel reported.
The rescue officials stated that the roof collapsed in a factory manufacturing cement roofs.
Officials stated that the roof of the living room of the laborers in the factory was not strong. The bodies and injured had been removed from the debris and shifted to the hospital.
The Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryum Nawaz, had also expressed deep condolences and sympathies with the families of the laborers who lost their lives in the factory roof collapse incident in Faisalabad.
The CM offered heartfelt sympathies and prayed for the departed souls.
The Chief Minister had directed the relevant authorities to provide all necessary assistance and support to the bereaved families.
An investigation into the incident had also been ordered to avoid such mishaps in the future.
