ISLAMABAD, AUG 25: Mohammad Khalid Hanafi, the acting Minister of Virtue and Vice, stated in a meeting in Jawzjan province that the Islamic Emirate is enforcing Islamic hijab in Afghanistan.
During this meeting, which was attended by some local officials, religious scholars, tribal elders, and the supervisors of the Ministry of Virtue and Vice, Hanafi emphasized the implementation of the decrees and directives of the leader of the Islamic Emirate in the country.
The Acting Minister of Virtue and Vice in Sheberghan said, “The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan enforces and implements hijab, and this is also part of Afghanistan’s culture. All of us, thank God, are Muslims; 99 percent of us Muslims want the implementation of an Islamic system.”
In his speech at this meeting, Mohammad Khalid Hanafi added that they [the officials and supervisors of the Ministry of Virtue and of Vice] are prepared to address the complaints and religious challenges of citizens in a timely manner.
This acting minister added, “You can call the Ministry of Virtue and Vice at the free number 191. If your issue is not followed up on, or if, God forbid, it is not implemented or not seriously resolved, we are responsible.”
On the other hand, local officials and several religious scholars at this meeting emphasized the enforcement of Sharia and the implementation of the newly ratified law of this ministry.
In this meeting, Nooruddin Amir, the Deputy Governor of Jawzjan, said, “We fully support the laws that the esteemed minister, the servant of the Ministry of Virtue, has stated on behalf of the elders of the Islamic Emirate.”
Previously, the Ministry of Justice announced that the law of the Ministry of Virtue and Vice, consisting of four chapters and thirty-five articles, has been ratified by the leader of the Islamic Emirate.
