ISLAMABAD: In a recent development, the Embassy of Denmark in Islamabad has denied a visa to Pakistani boxer Muhammad Wasim, who was scheduled to participate in a training session for an upcoming championship. According to Wasim, the Danish embassy refused to issue the visa on the grounds that he might not return to Pakistan.
“It was quite astonishing for me to receive this response from the embassy, especially considering that I have already participated in numerous international events,” Wasim said in a media interview. “After 40 days, the embassy informed me that I could not be issued a visa, citing the possibility that I might not return. This reasoning is utterly ridiculous,” he added.

He has requested the Pakistani government to intervene and assist him, as his future could be at risk if he is unable to participate in the championship. He mentioned that Governor KP, Faisal Karim Kundi, has promised to support him in this matter.
