KARACHI, Oct 1 /DNA/ – The Consulate General of Indonesia held a business lunch with Sindh businessmen, prior to their participation in the 1st Indonesia South and Central Asia Business Forum (INASCA) and the 39th Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) 2024, which will take place from October 7 to 12, 2024, in Jakarta. These events represent one of the largest platforms for business and trade in Indonesia, showcasing the best of Indonesian products, services, and innovations.
During the two major economic events, participants will have access to a vast exhibition, as well as business matchmaking sessions, trade missions, and international seminars. This presents an excellent opportunity to strengthen connections and explore partnerships. Approximately 50 businessmen from Sindh Province have registered to attend the trade event.
The Acting Consul General of the Republic of Indonesia, H.E Teguh Wiweko, hosted the lunch to express appreciation for the Sindh business community’s interest in engaging with Indonesian enterprises. The event was also attended by Abid Nisar, Chairman of the Pakistan-Indonesia Business Council, and Shamoon Zaki, President of the Pakistan-Indonesia Business Forum.
Indonesian envoy highlighted that the participation of the Pakistani business community is not just an opportunity to explore new ventures but also to foster relationships and collaborations that will bring mutual benefits to both countries. He noted that Indonesia has much to offer, including high-quality exports and cutting-edge innovations across various industries, such as agriculture, manufacturing, textiles, and services.
The involvement of the Pakistani business community, supported by the Consulate, underscores the growing ties and opportunities between Indonesia and Pakistan.
Today’s business lunch served not only as a celebration of the businessmen’s commitment but also as a platform to provide important details regarding their upcoming trip to Indonesia.
Ahmad Syofian, Ph.D., the Economic Consul of the Consulate, encouraged all participants to fully engage in this opportunity. “This trip is about more than just business; it’s about forging long-lasting relationships and understanding each other’s cultures and markets,” he stated.
