TASHKENT, OCT 28 /DNA/ – The Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan (UzLiDeP), which represents the interests of entrepreneurs and business professionals, has secured the largest number of seats in the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, as announced by the Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC), Zayniddin Nizamkhodjayev, during a briefing.
Preliminary data indicates a voter turnout of 74.72%, with 15,027,529 citizens participating in the parliamentary elections. Over 1 million voters cast ballots early, while 140,400 people voted at polling stations abroad.
UzLiDeP won 64 seats, including 38 mandates from single-member districts and 26 from the national constituency.
The Democratic Party “Milliy Tiklanish” obtained 29 seats, with 15 from single-member districts and 14 from the national constituency.
The Social Democratic Party “Adolat” gained 21 seats, comprising 9 mandates from single-member districts and 12 from the national constituency.
The People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan secured 20 mandates, with 7 from single-member districts and 13 from the national constituency.
The Ecological Party of Uzbekistan obtained 16 seats, including 6 from single-member districts and 10 from the national constituency.
