ATTOCK, NOV 13 /DNA/ – Deputy Commissioner Attock Rao Atif Raza while addressing the district authorities of various departments has urged upon them that all resources are being utilized to combat smog. He expressed these views while presiding over a meeting organized by the Regional Transport Authority to address smog.
Additional Deputy Commissioner General Aneel Saeed, Secretary Regional Transport Authority Zaheer Ahmed Khan, and other relevant officials were also present at the meeting. During the meeting, a detailed review of the measures taken to control smog through transportation was conducted, and it was decided that strict action would be taken against smoke-emitting vehicles, with heavy fines imposed.
Additionally, an effective awareness campaign will be launched to inform the public about the harmful effects of smog. Regular meetings will be held with bus terminal managers and transporters, directing them to prevent smoke-emitting vehicles from operating on the roads.
