Tirah Valley, JAN 31: The Pakistan Army and Frontier Corps North conducted a two-day free medical camp in Tirah Valley, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, providing healthcare services to more than 2,300 patients from tribal communities.
Medical staff at the camp, organized by Tirah Militia, offered comprehensive services including general check-ups, laboratory tests, and ECG examinations. Several patients requiring advanced care were referred to nearby hospitals for further treatment.
The camp provided free medication to all patients, with a significant number of women and children among those receiving medical attention. Healthcare professionals from both military and civilian sectors participated in delivering these services.
In addition to medical care, the organizers distributed free educational supplies to children from the area, aiming to support local students’ access to education resources.
Local residents noted that such medical camps help reduce the need to travel to distant areas for basic healthcare services. The initiative represents part of ongoing efforts to extend medical facilities to tribal regions.
The two-day camp demonstrated the implementation of mobile healthcare services in areas where access to regular medical facilities may be limited, combining both immediate care and referral services for those requiring specialized treatment.
