ATTOCK, FEB 11 /DNA/ – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and Member of the Provincial Assembly, Syed Ijaz Hussain Bukhari Advocate, has issued an open challenge to the government, stating that if Section 144 is lifted, he will gather 20,000 workers within just 24 hours and reach the rally venue. Otherwise, he will resign from his provincial assembly seat. Speaking to the media, Syed Ijaz Hussain Bukhari said that if he fulfills his challenge, both government information ministers should resign from their positions. He strongly criticized the government, claiming that PTI’s mandate was stolen, innocent workers were jailed, and the enforcement of Section 144 was being falsely portrayed as a success.
He further stated that while PTI leaders and workers are being arrested, the government is offering negotiations, which is completely unacceptable. Bukhari also strongly condemned the implementation of the PECA Act against journalists, accusing the government of using retaliatory tactics to suppress freedom of speech. “The oppression has reached its peak. The government has neither respected the sanctity of the veil nor the sanctity of the home. But the rulers must remember—such underhanded tactics cannot diminish the love people have for Imran Khan.” PTI remains determined and has announced its continued strong resistance against the government!
