ICC releases new ODI rankings: Babar Azam retains top spot

LAHORE, FEB 12: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has unveiled the latest ODI rankings, with Pakistan’s Babar Azam maintaining his position as the No. 1 batsman.

India’s Shubman Gill has moved up one spot to second place, reducing the gap with Babar Azam to just five points, making the battle for the top ranking even more intense. Meanwhile, Pakistan’s Fakhar Zaman is ranked 13th among batters.

In the bowling department, Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan holds the No. 1 ranking, while Pakistan’s Shaheen Afridi is placed fourth, and Haris Rauf is ranked 15th.

With the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 approaching, these rankings set the stage for an exciting competition among the world’s best cricketers.
