RAWALPINDI, FEB 14: /DNA/ – The Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Usman Shaukat attended a high-level meeting as a special invitee at the Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI), where Lt. Gen Sarfraz Ahmed, National Coordinator of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), engaged with key stakeholders to discuss strategies for promoting industrialization in Pakistan.
During the meeting, Usman Shaukat emphasized the urgent need for establishing an industrial zone with the status of a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Rawalpindi, alongside the Rawalpindi Ring Road Project. He highlighted how such a development would play a crucial role in boosting economic activity, attracting investment, and creating employment opportunities in the region.
Lt. Gen Sarfraz Ahmed reiterated his commitment to supporting the initiative, recognizing its potential to enhance Pakistan’s industrial landscape. In response to an invitation extended by Usman Shaukat, Lt. Gen Sarfraz Ahmed graciously agreed to visit the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce & Industry (RCCI) in the near future to engage with the local business community.
