SM Tanveer's policies increasing anxiety in businessmen

ISLAMABAD, FEB 25 /DNA/ – Former Vice President of FPCCI and founder President of Attock Chamber of Commerce Mirza Abdul Rehman said on Tuesday that anxiety is increasing among the business community due to the policies of UBG Patron-in-Chief SM Tanveer.

He said that SM Tanveer belongs to Lahore, but he has decided to contest the FPCCI election from Sindh, which has angered UBG Sindh leaders.

Mirza Abdul Rehman said that some important UBG leaders from Karachi are calling it a violation of their rights and are thinking of parting ways.

Mirza Abdul Rehman said in a statement issued here that differences had also emerged in the UBG over SM Tanveer’s nomination of Atif Ikram Sheikh for the presidency of FPCCI.

After being elected president, there was unease in the business community over Atif Ikram Sheikh’s irresponsibility, ignoring important business leaders, putting elected vice presidents on the back burner and giving all the powers to unelected people.

He informed the business community that they were also uneasy over Malik Sohail’s attitude, which was disrespectful to businessmen and staff of the FPCCI and only interested in his personal welfare.

Instead of addressing businesspeople’s concerns about the state of affairs in the FPCCI, SM Tanveer started ignoring the issues.

Now, he has decided to contest elections from Sindh, which the top leaders of UBG Karachi are calling a drone attack on their rights.

Mirza Abdul Rehman said that SM Tanveer lacks the capabilities of the late SM Munir and is unable to handle UBG’s affairs. Because of him, UBG is falling apart.
