ISLAMABAD:
Ansar Mahmood Bhatti, Editor of Daily Islamabad POST and Centreline magazine, has once again demonstrated his versatility and passion—this time on the hockey field. In the recently held Hockey League 2025, Ansar delivered a commendable performance, reaffirming his lifelong association with the sport.
A man of many talents, Ansar has been playing hockey since childhood, nurturing a deep love for the game alongside his illustrious career in journalism. Those close to him often describe him as a journalist by birth and an athlete by passion—two roles he has continued to balance with exceptional dedication.

Over the past 25 years, Ansar Mahmood Bhatti has contributed significantly to Pakistan’s English-language journalism. He has served with distinction at several prominent newspapers, building a strong reputation for credibility and integrity in reporting.
In 2010, he founded Centreline, a magazine focused on diplomatic affairs. Two years later, in 2012, he established the Diplomatic News Agency (DNA), Pakistan’s first wire service dedicated entirely to diplomacy. His most ambitious venture came in May 2020 with the launch of the Daily Islamabad POST, an English-language newspaper devoted exclusively to covering diplomatic and international relations news.
Through these platforms, Ansar has played a pioneering role in promoting diplomacy-focused journalism in Pakistan. His publications are widely read in diplomatic and policy-making circles and are credited with fostering greater understanding of international affairs within the country.
Ansar’s ability to maintain an active presence both in journalism and on the hockey field is a rare feat. His recent performance in the Hockey League 2025 serves as a testament to his enduring spirit, discipline, and commitment—values that define both good journalism and good sportsmanship.

As he continues to leave his mark in both arenas, Ansar Mahmood Bhatti stands as an inspiring example of how passion and profession can complement each other to create a truly well-rounded life.
