LAHORE, MAY 16 (APP/DNA):Punjab police paid a powerful tribute to the Pakistan Armed Forces(PAF) for their remarkable success against Indian aggression, commemorating the historic victory in operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos.
Inspector General(IG) Punjab Police,Dr.Usman Anwar,expressed deep reverence for the martyrs of the operation and saluted the veterans,stating,“We honor the heroes who laid down their lives and those who returned victorious.”
He also lauded the Pakistan Air Force,saying,“Punjab police salutes the falcons of the Pakistan Air Force who,with their exceptional skill,crushed the enemy’s numerical superiority.”
Reaffirming the force’s dedication,the IG said,“On the day of Youm-e-Tashakur,Punjab Police renews its commitment to safeguarding the nation’s internal frontiers and protecting the lives and property of citizens.”
Police offices across the province,including the Central Police Office(CPO) in Lahore,were illuminated to mark the occasion.
Dr.Usman emphasized that Punjab Police stands shoulder to shoulder with the Armed Forces in ensuring the survival and sovereignty of Pakistan.“Together with the entire nation, we are grateful to Almighty Allah for this historic victory,”he added.
The IG Punjab announced that full security arrangements would be made for ceremonies and rallies held in Lahore and across Punjab in observance of the Youm-e-Tashakur.
He highlighted the unity of the nation,saying,“The entire country stood like a solid wall,thwarting the cowardly enemy’s nefarious intentions and contributing to national security.”
“Pakistan is a peaceful nation that knows how to defend its borders,sovereignty and dignity,”the IG asserted.
He concluded by saying that this glorious victory sends a message of hope, unity and leadership to the Muslim Ummah.
