Islamabad, May 19 /DNA/ – Chairman Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHEC) Prof. Dr. Iqrar Ahmad Khan paid a courtesy call on Chairman Higher Education Commission (HEC), Pakistan, Prof. Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed at the HEC Secretariat on Monday.
The two dignitaries exchanged views on various matters of mutual interest pertaining to the higher education sector. The discussion focused on fostering greater coordination between the higher education entities to enhance academic quality, research productivity, and institutional governance across Pakistan.
Chairman HEC Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed appreciated the initiatives undertaken by PHEC to uplift the standards of higher education in Punjab and emphasised the importance of collaborative efforts to address challenges in academia and research. He reiterated HEC’s commitment to extending support to provincial commissions and higher education departments through policy alignment and capacity-building initiatives.
Dr. Iqrar Ahmad Khan expressed his appreciation for HEC’s continued support and underscored the need for harmonisation of quality assurance practices, faculty development, and student support services across provinces.
The meeting concluded on a positive note with both sides expressing their resolve to strengthen inter-institutional cooperation for the collective advancement of Pakistan’s higher education landscape.
