Widespread rainfall across several districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Eid-ul-Azha brought pleasant weather and broke the intensity of the heatwave, much to the relief of heat-stricken residents on Saturday.
In District Bajaur, heavy rain accompanied by strong winds improved weather conditions and the faces of the residents lit up with joy after days of oppressive heat.
Rainfall was also reported in Landi Kotal, Darra Adamkhel and Kohat, while in Jamrud, a heavy downpour following intense heat doubled the joy of Eid celebrations.
However, due to the rain, electricity supply in parts of the region was disrupted.
