ISLAMABAD, June 4:
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had a warm and cordial telephone conversation with His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik of the Sultanate of Oman on the auspicious occasion of Eid Al Adha, extending heartfelt greetings to the Omani leadership and the brotherly people of Oman.

During the conversation, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed deep appreciation for Oman’s supportive and balanced stance during the recent Pakistan-India crisis, reaffirming Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to regional peace and stability. He reiterated that dialogue remains essential for the resolution of all outstanding issues in South Asia.

The two leaders also discussed ways to further deepen bilateral relations and expand cooperation across a wide range of sectors, including trade, investment, energy, and manpower.

Prime Minister Sharif extended a formal invitation to His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to visit Pakistan at his earliest convenience, and expressed gratitude for the reciprocal invitation extended by the Sultan for his official visit to Oman. Both sides agreed that the exchange of high-level visits would further strengthen the historic and fraternal ties between the two nations, and that visit dates would be finalized through diplomatic channels.

The Prime Minister underscored the importance Pakistan attaches to its relations with Oman, a close and time-tested friend, and hoped for continued collaboration in regional and international forums.

The conversation concluded on a note of mutual goodwill, with both leaders reaffirming their desire to work closely to further elevate the strong and enduring Pakistan-Oman partnership.
