Pakistan, Indonesia Boost Health Ties with Focus on Vaccines, Knowledge Sharing

ISLAMABAD: JUN 26 (DNA):Mr. Rahmat Hindiarta Kusuma, Charge d Affaires of Embassy of Indonesia to Pakistan called on the Minister of State for National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination, Dr Malik Mukhtar Ahmad Bharath, to explore opportunities for expanding bilateral cooperation in the health sector.

In a constructive and forward-looking discussion, both sides underscored the immense potential for collaboration in areas such as vaccine production in Pakistan, the establishment of medical institutions in Indonesia, pharmaceutical development, and human resource exchange.

Dr Malik Mukhtar Ahmad Bharath expressed strong commitment to advancing this partnership, emphasizing that Pakistan views its collaboration with Indonesia as a strategic priority.

He highlighted that Government-to-Government (G2G) and People-to-People (P2P) linkages are essential for building sustainable health systems, and placed particular focus on vaccine production as a critical area of mutual interest.

The Minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s readiness to facilitate deeper cooperation, stating that the country looks forward to transforming these shared goals into impactful health initiatives for both nations.
