A Journey to Royal Metropolitan University, Bishkek.
As I step into the tall, five-story building of Royal Metropolitan University in the heart of Bishkek, I’m met with a sense of pride and resilience. The building, aptly named Alma Mata, stands as a testament to the university’s journey from its infancy to its current stature.
When I joined the university in its preliminary stages, I witnessed the administration’s eagerness to compete with other landmark universities. The energy was palpable, and the commitment to excellence was evident. As a seasoned educator with experience in teaching and diagnostics in Pakistan, I knew that teaching international students would be a challenge. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the students had a spark that just needed guidance.
In 2024, we took a significant step by establishing the Student Council, a first-of-its-kind initiative in Bishkek. With the help of our consultant partners, Dr. Shahid, Dr. Ferman, and Dr. Deepak Kumar, we appointed Dr. Mohsin Sana as the pioneer president. Dr. Mohsin has been blessed with gem-like qualities that have been instrumental in shaping the council’s success. Alongside Dr. Mohsin, our founder team consisted of other gems, including Dr. Usama as Vice-President of Content Creation and Dr. Asad Khokhar as Vice-President of Social Media.
Leadership Transition
After Dr. Mohsin’s tenure, we had another exceptional leader, Dr. Abdullah, who continued to build on the foundation laid by Dr. Mohsin. Both presidents have played a crucial role in shaping the Student Council and driving its initiatives forward.

– Leading Student Council: Our Student Council is rapidly becoming a leader in student representation and development, focusing on grooming students for success.As a relatively new university in town, we’ve faced challenges, particularly with PMDC recognition. While we’ve been issued a list allowing our graduates to take the National Licensing Examination (NLE), our ultimate goal is to be included in the recognized list A of PMDC. We’ve worked tirelessly to meet the PMDC’s criteria and are confident that our qualifications and standards align with their requirements.
We’re planning something big for our students, including an international conference that will bring together experts and scholars from around the world. Our professors have already been invited by local government universities to participate in international conferences, showcasing their expertise and the university’s reputation.
