HEC-PMYP Cricket Trials in Sindh conclude

Over 48,000 Aspiring Cricketers Participated in the Trials

Islamabad, July 26, 2025: Under the umbrella of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme (PMYP) and executed by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) in collaboration with Lahore Qalandars, the cricket talent hunt trials across Sindh have concluded with overwhelming participation of over 48,000 aspiring cricket players.

The trials were conducted at five key locations across Sindh including Karachi, Hyderabad, Shaheed Benazirabad, Larkana and Sukkur, demonstrating the passion and potential of youth in the province.

These trials are an important component of the Project, Talent Hunt Youth Sports League, representing a remarkable initiative by the Government of Pakistan aimed at handholding young cricketing talent, providing them a structured and merit-based platform to showcase their skills.

Following the successful completion of trials in Sindh, the trials for the youth of the Punjab are started from today, July 25, 2025 onwards. The trials will commence in Bahawalpur, and continue across major cities including Multan, Faisalabad, Sialkot, Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Jhelum.

This initiative is part of a broader effort to revive grassroots sports, particularly cricket, and to offer equal opportunities to youth from every corner of the country. With the professional support of Lahore Qalandars and the institutional backing of HEC and PMYP, this talent hunt marks a new era of sportsmanship, inclusivity, and discipline.
