Islamabad to host Int’l industrial expo in Oct 2025

ISLAMABAD, AUG 9 /DNA/ – The Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI), in collaboration with the Capital Development Authority (CDA), will organize an International Industrial Expo at Shakarparian Ground in October 2025. The landmark decision was finalized during a meeting between ICCI President Nasir Mansoor Qureshi and CDA Chairman & Chief Commissioner Islamabad Muhammad Ali Randhawa.

The meeting was also attended by senior officials, including Member Planning Dr. Khalid Hafeez, DG Planning Dr. Zafar Iqbal, DG Building Control & Housing Faisal Naeem, DG Resource Shakeel Ahmed, and Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Irfan Nawaz Memon. The concept for the expo, proposed by ICCI President Qureshi, aims to showcase Pakistan’s vast business and investment potential to boost both local and foreign investments.

Chairman Randhawa lauded the initiative and pledged full CDA support to implement it in letter and spirit.

The International Industrial Expo will host stalls from leading Pakistani and global companies, along with active participation from chambers of commerce across the country. International exhibitors from China, Turkiye, Iran, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Bangladesh, and other nations are expected to showcase their products and brands.

The event will also facilitate the signing of multiple Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) between Pakistani businesses and foreign counterparts to strengthen mutual trade, enhance cooperation, and attract foreign exchange to Pakistan.

President Qureshi emphasized that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will engage friendly nations to ensure the success of the event.

He further remarked that the expo would not only act as a gateway for new trade linkages but also as a platform for technology transfer, innovation exchange, and networking between local and international business leaders. “Our vision is to position Islamabad as a vibrant commercial hub in South Asia, where ideas, products, and partnerships converge to create sustainable economic growth,” he added.

He reiterated ICCI’s commitment to working with CDA in addressing business community concerns while transforming Islamabad into a green, clean, and globally attractive business and cultural hub.=DNA
