Iranian Ambassador felicitates Pakistan on 78th Independence Day

ISLAMABAD, 13 August 2025 — The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Pakistan, Reza Amiri Moghadam, has extended his warmest congratulations to the government and people of Pakistan on the auspicious occasion of the country’s 78th Independence Day.

In his special message, Ambassador Moghadam conveyed greetings on behalf of himself, the Government, and the people of Iran to their “friendly, neighbourly, and brotherly” nation. He paid tribute to the resilience, unity, and remarkable achievements of the people of Pakistan, terming the day a moment of pride for the entire nation.

“We deeply value the bonds of friendship, mutual respect, and cooperation that exist between our countries,” the envoy said. Highlighting the “firm determination” of the leadership of both states, he noted that a “new era of hope and optimism” had begun in Iran–Pakistan relations, marking a historic turning point in bilateral ties.

Ambassador Moghadam reaffirmed his commitment to further strengthen cooperation in all spheres for the mutual benefit of the people of both nations. He also prayed for the continued prosperity, peace, progress, and stability of Pakistan, and for the enduring friendship between Iran and Pakistan to grow ever stronger.

“On this 14 August, it gives me great pleasure to wish you all a very happy 78th Anniversary of Pakistan’s Independence Day,” he said in conclusion.
