The visiting South African team reached Lahore via a private airline flight. Soon after landing, the players and support staff were escorted to a private hotel under tight security provided by law enforcement agencies.

Pakistan has hosted several international teams in recent years as part of its efforts to revive international cricket at home. The arrival of South Africa marks yet another step forward in restoring regular bilateral cricket in the country.
