ISLAMABAD, Oct 08 (APP):Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi paid a surprise late-night visit to the National Police Academy (NPA) in Islamabad to review the progress on the ongoing upgradation projects and inspect the construction of a new hostel for trainee officers.
During the visit, the Interior Minister personally examined the pace and quality of construction activities at the site. He was briefed by the officials about the ongoing development work, including the upgradation of training facilities and infrastructure improvements within the academy premises.
Inspecting the new hostel building under construction, Minister Naqvi emphasized the importance of providing modern and comfortable residential facilities for police trainees. “Upon completion, the new hostel will offer state-of-the-art accommodation and a conducive environment for the training officers,” he remarked.
The minister also met with trainee police officers at the academy, engaging in discussions about the training environment, available resources, and overall facilities. The trainees expressed their satisfaction with the current amenities and appreciated the government’s efforts to enhance training standards.
Officials briefed the minister that three slabs of the new hostel structure have already been completed, while work on the remaining sections is progressing rapidly to meet the set deadlines.
Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa and other senior officials from the Interior Ministry and Police Academy were present during the visit.
Minister Naqvi directed the concerned authorities to ensure timely completion of all ongoing projects without compromising on quality standards. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to strengthening law enforcement institutions through improved training infrastructure, better facilities, and modern policing techniques.
The surprise visit reflects the Interior Minister’s hands-on approach and determination to uplift Pakistan’s police training system to meet contemporary challenges in policing and public safety.
