Top position-holding students awarded electric scooters

HYDERABAD, Oct 10 (APP):A ceremony was held at a local hotel in Hyderabad under the joint auspices of the Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas and Shaheed Benazirabad, during which two top position-holding students from each board were awarded electric scooters.

According to a handout issued here on Friday, the eco-friendly scooters were provided by the Engineering Development Board, Ministry of Industries and Production, Government of Pakistan, under a special program initiated by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

Addressing the ceremony as a chief guest, Commissioner Hyderabad Fayyaz Hussain Abbasi said the day marked the recognition of the efforts and achievements of talented students who brought pride to their institutions and parents through hard work, dedication and perseverance.

“The successful students represent the bright future of our country, setting an inspiring example for others through their determination and talent,” he added. “Their success reflects the commitment of teachers, prayers of parents and the resolve of educational institutions to uphold merit and excellence in society.”

Chairman of the Hyderabad Board Professor Dr. Shuja Ahmed Mahesar expressed his pleasure over the successful organization of the ceremony, saying the Prime Minister’s initiative served as a great encouragement for youth, a significant step towards promoting education, increasing accessibility and empowering students.

Chairman of the Shaheed Benazirabad Board Dr. Asif Ali Memon remarked that the students’ success marked the beginning of a new educational journey driven by learning, service and national development.

Meanwhile, Chairman of the Mirpurkhas Board Alamdar Hussain said that the scooters would remind the students of their responsibility to use knowledge and hard work to bring positive change in society.

The event was attended by Chancellor Isra University Dr. Hameedullah Qazi, Vice Chancellor Dr. Ahmad Waliullah Qazi, focal person of Engineering Development Board Engineer Altaf Hussain, teachers, parents and a large number of students.
