RAWALPINDI: President of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Italy, Ch. Khalid Mahmood Gondal, visited Pakistan and held a meeting with Abid Raza, Deputy Editor of Daily Islamabad Post. During the meeting, both sides discussed matters of mutual interest, including the role of overseas Pakistanis in national development and welfare initiatives for the Pakistani community residing abroad.

Ch. Khalid Mahmood Gondal briefed the Islamabad Post about the extensive work being carried out by PML-N Italy for the welfare and unity of the Pakistani diaspora in Italy. He said that the Pakistani community is playing a vital role in strengthening Pakistan’s image abroad and contributing significantly to the country’s economy through remittances.

He emphasized that PML-N, under the visionary leadership of Mian Nawaz Sharif and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, has always recognized the valuable contributions of overseas Pakistanis. “Our party has a clear vision to facilitate and empower Pakistanis living abroad. Their hard work and patriotism are assets for our country,” he remarked.

Ch. Khalid further stated that PML-N Italy is fully aware of the issues being faced by the Pakistani community in Italy, including matters related to documentation, employment, and social integration. He assured that his team is making continuous efforts to resolve these problems through coordination with local authorities and the Pakistani Embassy in Rome.

Abid Raza appreciated the efforts of Ch. Khalid Mahmood Gondal and commended his dedication toward the welfare of overseas Pakistanis. Both agreed that the role of expatriates is crucial for Pakistan’s economic stability and global standing, and it is essential to maintain strong engagement between them and the homeland.
