Maulana Fazlur Rehman emphasizes unity, harmony on Finality of Prophethood

SUKKUR, Nov 16 (APP/DNA): Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has said that the belief in the Finality of Prophethood is a symbol of unity and harmony for the entire Ummah. He was addressing the International Khatm-e-Nubuwwat Conference in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

According to a release issued here on Sunday, Maulana Fazlur Rehman stated that the Muslims of the subcontinent and scholars of all schools of thought agree that no prophet can come after the Holy Prophet ?, and anyone claiming prophethood is considered outside the fold of Islam.

He further said that his party has convened a meeting of the central Shura on November 23 to discuss the 27th constitutional amendment and other legislation.

The JUI leader emphasized that the people of Bangladesh and Pakistan are one strength, one group, and one Ummah, and that the bond of love between the two countries will continue to grow stronger.

Maulana Amjad Khan, a central leader of JUI, said that the meeting of JUI’s central Shura will discuss matters of religious seminaries, national and regional situations, and the future course of action.

The JUI chief also brought a message of goodwill from Pakistan and said that he will take a message of goodwill from Bangladesh back to Pakistan.
