13th round of political consultations between Pakistan, Iran concluded

ISLAMABAD, NOV 17: The 13th round of political consultations between Pakistan and Iran concluded in Islamabad, where both sides held extensive discussions on all aspects of bilateral ties.

The two countries agreed to enhance cooperation in trade, energy, transportation, education, and people-to-people exchanges.

According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, the Pakistani delegation was led by Foreign Secretary Aamirah Balouch, while the Iranian side was headed by Deputy Minister for Political Affairs Majid Takht-e-Ravanchi.

During the meeting, the two sides reviewed progress on the decisions taken in the previous round of consultations and reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening bilateral ties. They also held an in-depth exchange of views on regional and global developments.

Both Pakistan and Iran emphasized the importance of institutional mechanisms such as the Joint Economic Commission and Joint Trade Committee for advancing cooperation. The two sides also reiterated their resolve to continue collaboration at multilateral forums and maintain a strong and constructive dialogue.

It was mutually agreed that the next round of political consultations will be held in Tehran on dates to be finalized through diplomatic channels.
