Operation planned across Peshawar under NAP
PESHAWAR, Nov 18 (APP/DNA):The provincial government has decided to launch a large-scale operation across Peshawar under the National Action Plan (NAP).

The move brings hotels, property dealers, tenants and the use of loudspeakers under strict surveillance.

According to a report on Tuesday, the administration has reinstated and intensified all measures under the NAP that had been implemented sluggishly for a long time.

The provincial authorities have approved strict enforcement across the city, placing special focus on monitoring hotels, real estate agents, landlords, tenants and all individuals using loudspeakers.

The government has instructed relevant departments to take immediate tough action. Property dealers, homeowners, and tenants will now be required to follow the Tenancy Act without exception. Owners who fail to register tenants will face immediate legal action, alongside inspection drives and a grand citywide operation.

The administration has requested updated lists of all tenants living in Peshawar. Meanwhile, monitoring has been tightened across all small and large hotels. Complaints of unregistered guests have surfaced, prompting orders that any hotel failing to record guest data will be sealed. Surveillance of foreign nationals will be made even more stringent.

Additionally, officials have been directed to issue notices to relevant offices and action has been accelerated against the misuse of loudspeakers. According to the administration, loudspeakers may only be used within legal boundaries and violations will result in confiscation of equipment and swift legal action.
