LAHORE, NOV 24: The Pakistan Super League (PSL) and Lahore Qalandars have renewed their partnership for another ten years.
The agreement-signing ceremony was held in Islamabad and attended by representatives of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the Qalandars.
PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi described the renewal as a testament to the confidence placed in the PSL, noting that the owners of Lahore Qalandars have transformed their franchise into a global brand.
Addressing the ceremony, PSL CEO Salman Naseer announced that the league will expand to eight teams from its 11th edition next year. He added that the passion and energy of Lahore Qalandars have become hallmarks of the PSL, while the franchise’s talent-nursery program has provided fresh blood to Pakistan cricket.
PCB officials in Islamabad highlighted that under the captaincy of Shaheen Shah Afridi, Lahore Qalandars have secured three titles in four years—clear evidence of the franchise’s performance.
The PCB affirmed its commitment to maintaining a strong partnership with Lahore Qalandars in the future as well.
