Significant Progress in Implementation of E-Stamp Paper System Under Digital Islamabad Vision

ISLAMABAD, NOV 28 /DNA/ –  Significant progress has been achieved regarding the implementation of the E-Stamp Paper system, in line with the Digital Islamabad Vision of Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif and Federal Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi.

According to details, several stages related to the issuance of E-Stamp Paper have been completed under the agreement between the Punjab Land Records Authority (PLRA) and the ICT Administration. In line with the instructions of Chairman CDA and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, E-Stamp Paper system has been integrated with OneLink. The State Bank of Pakistan has also formally granted authorization to link the E-Stamp Paper system developed by PLRA with OneLink system, serving as the country’s largest payment for digital transactions.

In this regard, PLRA has also shared the design sample of the E-Stamp with the ICT Administration. In the next phase, PLRA is commencing the testing phase of the E-Stamp system concerning the digitized land records of 24 mouzas of the ICT. Following the testing phase, the complete E-Stamp Paper system will be launched soon in the Federal Capital, Islamabad.

Chairman CDA and Chief Commissioner Islamabad Muhammad Ali Randhawa said that the E-Stamp Paper system, in accordance with the Digital Islamabad Vision of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, will also promote a cashless economy in Islamabad. He said that it will also facilitate citizens in transactions related to property transfer, inheritance, buying and selling, etc.

Chairman CDA and Chief Commissioner Islamabad said that the aim of these measures is to adopt an e-governance model and further improve service delivery in Islamabad. He further said that all resources are being utilized to ensure the provision of better and the best facilities to citizens.
