PESHAWAR, Dec 17 (APP/DNA):Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Muhammad Suhail Afridi on Wednesday paid a surprise visit to the Zamong Kor Girls Campus and Women Crisis Center, where he met the resident girls, listened to their concerns and issued on-the-spot directives for their immediate resolution.

During the visit, the Chief Minister said that the care and protection of children under state guardianship is the constitutional, moral and humanitarian responsibility of the government. Taking notice of complaints about flu among the girls, he immediately summoned doctors and ensured medical examinations on the spot.

He directed the administration to arrange the menu according to the girls’ preferences and to ensure the provision of quality food at all times. Emphasizing the welfare of orphaned and destitute girls, Suhail Afridi stated that their education, training and well-being are among the top priorities of the provincial government.

Keeping in view the cold weather, the Chief Minister also ordered urgent provision of water geysers, heaters, shoes, warm clothes and sweaters. On the girls’ request, he instructed the authorities to provide swings, toys, a computer lab, painting materials and recreational facilities. He further assured that the Zamong Kor school would be upgraded and a new building would be constructed for the girls’ campus.
