KARACHI, Dec 28 (APP/DNA):Entrance tests for admission to the PhD programs for the year 2025 (second intake) were held on Sunday at the International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS), University of Karachi.
According to a spokesperson for ICCBS, University of Karachi, dozens of candidates appeared in the test, which commenced at 10:00 a.m. and concluded at 12:00 noon. The examination was conducted at the L.E.J. National Science Information Center, located within the ICCBS.
On the special instructions of Prof. Dr. Muhammad Raza Shah, Director of ICCBS, strict security arrangements were put in place, and unauthorized individuals were not allowed near the examination centers.
The spokesperson added that the test results would be announced on the ICCBS and University of Karachi websites on January 5, 2026.
He further stated that, in accordance with the international center’s policy, all admissions will be granted strictly on a merit basis under the University of Karachi’s approved higher education programs.
Successful candidates will be required to appear for interviews scheduled for January 7, 2026, while the final merit list will be displayed on January 16, 2026.
Admissions will be offered to selected candidates at the Dr. Panjwani Center for Molecular Medicine and Drug Research (PCMD) and the H.E.J. Research Institute of Chemistry, University of Karachi.
For the convenience of candidates, shuttle bus services were arranged from the Maskan Gate and the Campus Gate (near Sheikh Zayed Islamic Center) to ICCBS, as per the directives of the ICCBS Director.
