ICCI- PBPC UAE Host Historic Celebration of UAE National Day

ISLAMABAD, DEC 31 /DNA/ – In a vibrant display of diplomacy and brotherhood, the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) and the Pakistan Business Professional Council (PBPC) UAE jointly celebrated the 57th National Day of the United Arab Emirates.

The event, held at the ICCI premises, marked a significant milestone in bilateral relations, underscored by the unique distinction of Engr. Muhammad Javed becoming the first individual to initiate and celebrate the UAE National Day within these prestigious councils in Islamabad.

In his address President ICCI Sardar Tahir Mehmood extended his warmest congratulations to the UAE leadership. He emphasized that the bond between the two nations is “everlasting and unparalleled,” built on a foundation of mutual trust and shared economic goals. He lauded the UAE’s consistent role in supporting Pakistan through investment and humanitarian aid, reaffirming ICCI’s dedication to deepening trade links.

The celebration was spearheaded by Engr. Muhammad Javed, Coordinator for Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah (PBPC UAE). His initiative to bring the National Day festivities to Islamabad’s business circles was hailed as a historic first, bridging the gap between overseas Pakistani professionals and domestic commerce hubs.

The ceremony witnessed high-level participation from prominent business leaders and community representatives. 

In his remarks, Vice President ICCI Irfan Chaudhry emphasized that Pakistan–UAE relations are increasingly translating into tangible economic opportunities. He said that joint platforms such as PBPC and ICCI are essential for promoting bilateral trade, encouraging SMEs and fostering institutional collaboration.

Former President Mohammad Ejaz Abbasi and other speakers collectively highlighted that Pakistan–UAE cooperation is entering a new phase focused on mutual economic growth, investment expansion and regional stability. The PBPC UAE team expressed gratitude to the Islamabad business community for its warm reception, terming the celebration the beginning of a new chapter in cross-border professional collaboration.

 The event wrapped up on a sweet note with an impressive cake cutting ceremony that drew participation from all attendees to mark the occasion, making it a memorable finale to a successful gathering.
