ATTOCK, JAN 13 /DNA/ – Following the special directives of the Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif 2287 clerics of the inter provincial bordering district Attock are also being remunerated @ Rs. 25000 per month for their welfare in line with other parts of the province.
This was said by the Additional Commissioner General Attock Mr. Aneel Saeed while addressing the pay orders awarding function held in the office of the Assistant Commissioner Attock on Tuesday. Among orders the special ceremony was also participated by the imams of the various mosques of the district.
Speaking on the occasion, the Additional Commissioner General Attock Mr. Aneel Saeed appreciated the religious contributions of the clerics saying that Government of the Punjab is proactive to compensate the imams of all religious sects for their welfare besides sharing their financial constraints being faced by their families.
He further said that Government of the Punjab is come forward to uplift the socio-economic conditions of the religious clerics enabling them to perform their religious obligations with zeal and whole heartedly without any financial hardships.
The participants of the ceremony also hailed the scheme of the Chief Minister Punjab and prayed for her steps taken for the welfare of the people with particular reference to the imams and religious scholars, he added.
