PSB directs PHF to withdraw unapproved hockey club scrutiny schedule

ISLAMABAD, JAN 19: Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) has directed Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) to immediately withdraw a hockey club scrutiny schedule that was issued unilaterally without consultation or approval of the PSB.

According to an official letter issued on Monday, the board took serious notice of reports that the PHF had independently circulated a schedule for the scrutiny of hockey clubs, bypassing mandatory coordination with the PSB.

The PSB clarified that any such schedule issued by the PHF holds no legal linkage with, or recognition of the board. It warned that unilateral actions of this nature are creating confusion among stakeholders and undermining the credibility and transparency of the scrutiny process.

The board advised the PHF to issue an immediate and clear clarification to all concerned, categorically stating that no hockey club scrutiny is being conducted under the schedule circulated by the federation.

The letter further emphasized that the scrutiny of hockey clubs will be carried out strictly under the umbrella, supervision and coordination of the board as already decided.
