BISHKEK, JAN 30: A meeting between Bishkek Mayor Aibek Dzhunushaliev and representatives of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development was held today at the Mayor’s Office.
According to the Mayor’s Office press service, during the meeting, the parties discussed the implementation of joint projects, including in the areas of heat and water supply in Bishkek, as well as the capital’s participation in the EBRD’s Green Cities program.
The mayor briefed the bank’s representatives on key projects being implemented in Bishkek. These include the construction and operation of an eco-technological plant, as well as greening and air quality improvement projects. In 2025, 19,000 trees were planted in the city, and approximately 50,000 seedlings are planned for 2026.
In turn, the EBRD representatives expressed their readiness to support the implementation of projects outlined in Bishkek’s master development plan to 2050.
“We express our gratitude for the support you provide. You support projects at every stage, from preparation to implementation. We are always open to cooperation and hope to continue working in the same spirit in the future,” emphasized Aibek Dzhunushaliev.
Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their commitment to further collaboration on joint projects.
