ISLAMABAD, FEB 4 /DNA/ – The Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) has reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to facilitating business growth and recognizing professionals of par excellence whose contributions strengthen key sectors of the national economy.
Addressing a ceremony jointly hosted by ICCI and Win Win Marketing and Developers in honour of Chairman Faisal Town Group, Chaudhry Abdul Majeed, at the Chamber House, ICCI President Sardar Tahir Mehmood highlighted the significance of the housing sector in catering to the fundamental needs of the common man. He said that access to quality and affordable housing is essential for improving living standards, promoting social stability, and generating large-scale employment opportunities.
The ICCI President emphasized that acknowledging excellence is a core component of ICCI’s mission to promote responsible business leadership, transparency, and high delivery standards. He noted that recognizing achievers serves as a source of encouragement for the wider business community and helps establish benchmarks for sustainable and ethical growth. He appreciated Faisal Town Group’s contributions to housing development and progressive business practices.
Speaking on the occasion, Chaudhry Abdul Majeed thanked ICCI for the recognition and commended the Chamber’s continued efforts to promote a business-friendly environment. He reaffirmed his resolve to continue contributing to the housing sector in line with public needs and stressed the importance of sustained engagement between the Chamber, developers, and relevant authorities to ensure orderly growth of the housing sector.
He went on to say that Pakistan is a blessing of Almighty Allah and that we secured victory over India in the battle field in May-2026 and now have to secure successes in the economic field by united and steadfastness. He said that despite all the challenges he and his Group is determined to carry forward its mission of providing affordable and modern homes by urging the government to facilitate the business community in the best economic interest of the country and make those responsible for erecting unnecessary hurdles in the way of the business community accountable.
Chairman ICCI Founder Group Sheikh Tariq Sadiq said that Chaudhry Abdul Majeed is a legend and a role model for the business community who deserves utmost respect and honour and that the entire business community stands shoulder to shoulder with him.
Former President and Secretary General United Business Group Zafar Bakhtawari spoke about the importance of due respect and recognition to leading business personalities and incorporating their success stories into educational curricula to inspire and guide young entrepreneurs. He added that it is unfortunate that the business community is not only harassed but is subjected to character assassination.
Former President Khalid Iqbal Malik said that Chaudhry Abdul Majeed is a great human being who always stands ready to extend help to others.
The ceremony was attended by a large number of representatives from various business sectors, particularly housing and real estate.
