BEIJING, FEB 6: China has reaffirmed its support for Iran’s right to defend its national interests and has opposed “unilateral bullying”, according to a statement issued by the Chinese Foreign Ministry.
The statement said that China supports Iran in protecting its sovereignty, security, national dignity, and its legitimate rights and interests.
Meanwhile, indirect talks between officials of the United States and Iran have begun in Oman.
The respective delegations are being led by Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and US President Donald Trump’s special envoy, Steve Witkoff.
