ICC Chairman Jay Shah has invited PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi to watch the high-profile encounter in Colombo. Sources confirmed that Naqvi will travel to Colombo to watch the Pakistan-India match tomorrow.
The blockbuster contest between the arch-rivals is set to be attended by several senior cricket officials, making it more than just a sporting event.
According to sources, Shah personally invited Naqvi to watch the match in Colombo. Shah is also expected to be present at the stadium to witness the high-voltage encounter between the two neighboring nations.
There is a strong possibility of a meeting between Jay Shah and Mohsin Naqvi on the sidelines of the match, sources added.
Possible interaction with BCCI officials
The ICC has also extended invitations to officials of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Sources indicate that Jay Shah and BCCI officials are likely to meet PCB Chairman Naqvi during the event, potentially paving the way for discussions on cricketing matters.
