Humayun extends good wishes to Iran’s new supreme leader

ISLAMABAD, Mar 10: Secretary General of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Muhammad Humayun Khan has expressed his good wishes for Iran’s newly appointed Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, and hoped that he would carry forward the political and intellectual legacy of his father, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, with wisdom and foresight.

In a statement, Humayun Khan said that Mojtaba Khamenei’s leadership has emerged at a time when the Muslim world is in need of unity, insight and strong leadership.

He expressed hope that as Mojtaba Khamenei would not only guide the Iranian nation but also play an important role in promoting unity, solidarity and mutual respect among the Muslim Ummah.

He said the appointment of Mojtaba Khamenei has conveyed a strong and unified message of cohesion and consensus to the Iranian people.

Humayun Khan also paid tribute to the services of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, saying that his leadership had a profound impact on Iran’s politics as well as the regional situation.

He expressed confidence that the new leadership would steer Iran towards progress, stability and national unity with the same vision and determination.

Humayun Khan further noted that Pakistan and Iran share deep historical, religious, and cultural ties, and expressed hope that relations between the two brotherly countries would grow even stronger during the tenure of the new leadership.
