NATHIAGALI, Apr 03: Secretary of Tourism, Culture & Archaeology for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Saadat Hassan Friday has conducted a detailed visit of Galiyat to review tourist facilities and the ongoing plantation drive in the region.
The visit followed his stop at the Galiyat Development Authority (GDA) office in Abbottabad, where he was welcomed and briefed by Director General GDA, Muhammad Fawad.
Accompanied by the DG GDA, directors of the authority, and officers from the district administration, the Secretary carried out a comprehensive inspection of road conditions, tourist facilities, GDA Control Rooms, and Tourist Facilitation Centers (TFCs).
He reviewed their performance in ensuring effective facilitation for tourists across Galiyat.
As part of GDA’s ongoing plantation drive aimed at preserving the region’s natural beauty and promoting a greener environment the Secretary, along with the DG GDA, directors, and officers from both GDA and the Abbottabad district administration, planted trees in Galiyat.
During his visit, the Secretary also inspected GDA machinery to assess its condition and operational readiness. He took time to interact with field staff, appreciating their efforts in maintaining services and facilities for tourists.
