Islamabad: April 9, 2026 — The Government of Pakistan has approved the appointment of eight Information Group officers to diplomatic press positions abroad, according to an official notification issued by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (External Publicity Wing).The Prime Minister has approved the postings, which aim to strengthen Pakistan’s external publicity and media engagement in important international stations. Most of the senior officers (BS-19) have been appointed as Press Counsellors in major capitals including Moscow, Berlin, Washington, and Dhaka. The remaining officers (BS-18) will serve as Press Attachés in Ankara, Baku, and New Delhi.This reshuffle is part of routine diplomatic rotations aimed at enhancing Pakistan’s public diplomacy and media outreach.
