Azerbaijan ambassador visits Lahore Town Hall

LAHORE, APR 25 (DNA): A delegation led by Ambassador of Azerbaijan Khazar Farhadov visited the Town Hall Lahore on Saturday and held detailed discussions with Deputy Commissioner on cultural linkages and urban development cooperation.

Upon arrival, the delegation was warmly received by the deputy commissioner. During the meeting, the DC briefed the visiting guests on the city’s historical and cultural heritage, along with ongoing urban development initiatives aimed at improving infrastructure, service delivery, and modern urban planning.

The discussions focused on expanding cultural exchange programmes between Pakistan and Azerbaijan, as well as enhancing cooperation in urban development and international forums.

The deputy commissioner also accepted a formal invitation to participate in the World Urban Development Forum, terming it an important opportunity to showcase Lahore’s development vision at the global level.

Ambassador Khazar Farhadov appreciated the briefing and said that Pakistan and Azerbaijan enjoy longstanding friendly relations based on mutual respect. He also lauded initiatives aimed at promoting cultural understanding between the two countries.

At the end of the visit, cultural gifts were exchanged between both sides as a gesture of goodwill and mutual respect.=DNA
