RCCI, CPO discuss business community issues, coordination mechanism

RAWALPINDI, May 06: The Rawlapindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) has raised key issues facing the city’s traders community. The chamber expressed its concerns regarding PERA force’s actions against traders.

According to the details, a delegation of RCCI, led by its President Usman Shaukat, called on City Police Officer (CPO) Rawalpindi Syed Khalid Hamdani and discussed issues including the Chamber–Police Coordination Committee, alternate dispute resolution mechanisms, market timings, smart lockdown concerns, traffic management and complaints regarding alleged harassment by the PERA force.

The CPO assured full cooperation in addressing the concerns of the business community, emphasizing the importance of strong coordination between police and traders.

He also informed that he, along with his team, would visit the Chamber House next week to further strengthen engagement and improve liaison with the business community.

The delegation included former RCCI president Najam Rehan and trade representatives Shahid Ghafoor Paracha, Sheikh Hafeez, Munir Baig Mirza, Aslam Naqash and Zafar Qadri, among others.
